CleanTech San Diego and SDMAC - The Department of the Navy's Renewable Energy Mandate and How San Diego Will Meet It
In 2010, US Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus announced his commitment that 40 percent of the Department of the Navy’s total energy consumption will come from alternative sources by 2020.

As the US Navy and Marine Corps lead the path to clean energy, the San Diego region will play an integral role in the execution of the Department’s ambitious mandate.

How are these bold objectives being planned for and met? How can your company participate?

Please join CleanTECH San Diego and the San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC) for this special, inaugural event featuring Rear Admiral Dixon Smith, Commander, Navy Region Southwest, the Honorable Mayor Jerry Sanders and local companies delivering clean energy solutions to the US Armed Forces.  Stakeholders who seek to do business or are already engaged in business with the military will learn how their technologies could benefit the Department of the Navy’s effort to execute its mandate.

The military is a powerful driver for the local economy, bringing more than $30 billion to the San Diego region each year.
